PIEZO INKJET (PIJ) PRINTERS

Piezo InkJet Printers is a high resolution printer used for printing text, logos, linear and matrix barcodes, onto outer cases. PIJ Printers use electrical charges and vibrations to send droplets of ink onto a substrate. The electric charge excites a crystal or ceramic element in the printhead which oscillates ink into droplets before they are fired through a nozzle. PIJ Printers has a longer throw distance of upto 12mm, which provide greater flexibility for coding on secondary packaging. PIJ Printers are only suitable for marking on absorbent materials, limiting it to carton marking applications.
