VISION INSPECTION SYSTEMS
Vision Inspection Systems see beyond the naked eye and capture minute contaminants, flaws, defects and measuring errors, that are incomprehensible to a human’s sight. A Vision Inspection System is made up of an industrial camera, lens (or lenses), lighting, and an image processing unit. The following are the six types of Inspections, that a Vision Inspection Systems perform, Defects and Flaw Detection, Presence or Absence, Product Verification, Character Inspection and Barcode Reading, Measurements or Dimensions, Positioning or Alignment. The Vision Inspection Systems used in Pharmaceuticals and Food Industries follow a number of standards in their production. OCR (Optical Character Recognition) and OCV (Optical Character Verification) are the two technologies used in production lines, in order to control the printed information on the products or packaging. When these technologies are used with high-speed cameras and automation systems, products printed with incorrect information are automatically rejected from the production lines.
